Provide timely, effective, and thorough customer service to Anatomic Pathologists, pathology referral sources, hospital staff, patient families, and others based on Children's service standards. Coordinate tasks that support complete, accurate and timely processing of anatomic pathology health information and other materials for use by healthcare providers at medical case conferences. Transcribe and edit dictated complex surgical anatomic pathology medical reports. Facilitate the Outside Consults (OC) flow of tissue blocks, anatomic pathology microscope slides and medical and billing information to and from other hospital laboratories.
Facilitate both in-house and consultation autopsy service reporting and logistics. Participate in process improvement efforts aimed at improving flow of pathology services.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science, Health Care Administration or related field
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3 years experience in a medical field
- Associate’s Degree in a medical/health related field with at least 5 years experience in a medical field
N/A.
Preferred- Two (2) years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
- Certified Medical Transcriptionist with expertise in surgical pathology.
$24.77 - $37.16 per hour
Salary InformationThis compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
