Job Description Who we’re looking for:
The UW Medicine - Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology (DLMP) in Seattle, WA has a fantastic opportunity for a Clinical Laboratory Coordinator Lead with the Pathology Slide Room at the University of Washington Medical Center – Montlake.
Work schedule:- 100% FTE
- Monday – Friday
- Day shift
In the supervisor's absence, this position functions as the Slide Room point person. Under general supervision, this role performs routine Slide Room duties of an Administrative Assistant 2 and 3, as well as creates guidelines, processes, and documentation. Routine tasks include storing and archiving pathology materials, filling requests for materials internally and from external providers and facilities, and communicating material retention, storage, and release protocols with department members and other departments/facilities.
This position also functions as the EPIC Beaker superuser for the slide room section and attends additional training and informational meetings as necessary.
- High school graduation or equivalent AND three (3) years of clinical or public health laboratory experience.
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
- Anatomic Pathology or laboratory experience.
- Vacation time and sick time off that accrue monthly, including 12 paid holidays.
