Ultrasound Technologist - Breast Care Center

Overview

Describes a sonography role with responsibilities across OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts imaging. Includes assisting the radiologist during invasive procedures and making clinical judgments based on information from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview and assessments. Eligible external hires meeting required qualifications may receive a $10,000 hiring bonus.

Performs a variety of sonographic examinations dealing with OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts. Assists the radiologist during invasive procedures. Makes a clinical judgment of the patient s condition based on information from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview and personal assessments.

• Coursework/Training:
  Successful completion of Ultrasound training program — education sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take American Registry of Diagnostic Ultrasonographers (ARDMS) registry examination
• Within 1 year of hire:
  National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Upon hire:
  National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 1 year of experience as an ultrasound technologist or ultrasound intern

Pay and benefits details:
The posted pay range is $53.99 - $82.86 per hour. Base pay ranges are determined by experience and other factors. Additional compensation (shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, bonus opportunities) may be available.
