Description
Performs a variety of sonographic examinations dealing with OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts. Expectations also include assisting the radiologist during invasive procedures. Performs abdominal Doppler studies of the liver and liver transplants, as well as performing Nuchal Translucency studies and neonatal cranial exams. One additional certification (Breast, Vascular, Neurosonography, MSK, Pediatrics, Fetal Echo, Nuchaltranslucency or the Neonatal specialty) is required for sonographer 2 status.
Makes a clinical judgment of the patient's condition, based on information obtained from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview and personal assessments.

Qualifications- Coursework/Training and successful completion of ultrasound training program — education sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take the ARDMS registry examination.

National Registered Technologist - Sonography — or — - National Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Upon hire:
National Provider BLS — American Heart Association - 2 years of experience as a sonographer

Posted are the minimum and maximum wage rates for this position. The successful candidate’s placement on the wage range will be determined based on relevant experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
