Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic (OBCC) has locations in Othello and the Central District. Services at the clinics include pediatric medical care, behavioral health, dental services, nutrition, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and more. Since 1970, OBCC has worked to uphold the vision of community organizer Odessa Brown: to bring quality healthcare with dignity to children from birth to young adulthood in the Central District and south Seattle.

The role of the Registration Coordinator is an essential part of the patient facing registration experience by providing support and ensuring each patient encounter is positive, professional, and efficient. The primary function of this role is to create new registrations and check patients in for scheduled and walk-in clinical visits throughout the outpatient setting of the hospital. Support may be needed for Urgent Care, Radiology, and Access Clinic check-ins, operating seven days per week, during both day and evening times.

Registration Coordinator duties also include scheduling patient return visit appointments, minimizing clinic access delays, effectively communicating with patients/families, informing of and collecting signed consent for care, maintaining standards for infection prevention, and establishing systems and resources to improve processes and efficiency of the patient experience.

Required

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent experience. Minimum of one (1) year customer service and/or administrative support experience.

Required Credentials

For staff that work in schools, prior to the start of employment, individuals are required to submit a copy of a receipt directly to Human Resources (electronically) confirming they have completed the fingerprinting process as outlined by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).

Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree. Minimum of three (3) years experience working in a health care setting or related field. Significant experience working with the general public in a health care/customer service environment. Familiarity with other cultures/bilingual skills.

Compensation Range

$23.15 - $34.73 per hour

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
