Position SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and skilled Pediatric Life Skills Educator to join our growing team. The educator will provide individualized sessions for children with various diagnoses, including but not limited to:
- Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD)
- Developmental Delays
- Fine and Gross Motor Coordination Difficulties
- Self‑regulation and Functional Daily Living Skills
This position involves travel to clients’ homes and community settings within the service area. The ideal candidate is flexible, organized, and passionate about helping children develop the skills they need for success in everyday life.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high‑quality, family‑centered education services in natural environments.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to support generalization of skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and professional development activities.
- Provide caregiver education and training to reinforce goals at home and in the community.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, Human Development and Family Studies, Social Work, or a similar degree from an accredited program.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
- Ability to travel to client sites within the designated service area.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience working with children with developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of various teaching methods.
- Understanding of pediatric development and various diagnoses.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
