Patient Service Representative

We’re seeking a dedicated, detail oriented Patient Services Representative (PSR) to join our growing team in Seattle. This role is central to maintaining DrSnip’s standard of excellent patient care. The PSR is the first point of contact between our patients and our clinic; the role requires excellent communication, organization, and people skills. PSRs are entrusted with scheduling patients, answering preparatory questions, obtaining insurance data, checking benefits, and communicating appointment updates to patients.

By the end of each phone call or interaction, the PSR ensures the patient has the information he requires for his appointment.

Seattle, WA — Full-Time

Responsibilities / Position details
  • Answer incoming calls with warmth and professionalism; handle multiple calls at once.
  • Collect insurance information, obtain cost estimates, and inform the patient accordingly.
  • Discuss vasectomy, male anatomy, preparation, and recovery with patients and partners.
  • Maintain complete and accurate patient records, including Protected Health Information.
  • Answer patient questions about appointment scheduling and procedure preparation.
  • Provide the DrSnip doctor with complete and relevant patient information when required.
  • Inquire about and note medical history; inform the team of special circumstances.
  • Greet patients when they enter the clinic and assist with other administrative tasks.
  • Assume additional duties as needed.
Patient Experience
  • Maintain a welcoming, respectful, and discreet environment aligned with DrSnip’s values.
  • Monitor and respond to patient feedback and service recovery needs, escalating as needed.
  • Collaborate with staff to continuously improve the patient journey, from booking to follow-up.
Compliance & Safety
  • Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support leadership by following initiatives.
  • Adhere to safety and quality protocols.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a patient‑facing role.
  • Familiarity with basic medical terminology and health insurance guidelines.
  • Experience with insurance verification, including OHP and company direct portals.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Robust organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer and typing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in men’s health, outpatient procedural settings.
  • Associate’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of surgical scheduling and elective procedures.
  • Certified or trained as a Medical Assistant in Washington.
