Endoscopic Technician, Capitol Hill - Seattle (40 hrs) $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!!

Apply for a 40‑hour full‑time position at Kaiser Permanente.

Assists gastroenterologists and registered nurses with colonoscopy and panendoscopy procedures and treats patients. Provides patient care, room set‑up and turnover, sterilization of equipment, and performs other duties. Ensures a safe, comfortable, and private environment for each patient.

• Co‑operate with patients, providers, and leadership to ensure quality, safety, and emergency compliance.
• Assist patient flow, communicate attentively, coordinate and facilitate care.
• Assist gastroenterologists and RNs with colonoscopy and panendoscopy procedures, including cauterization, biopsies, patient positioning, life‑support as needed.
• Utilize high‑level disinfection techniques to clean scopes via manual cleaning and/or washer‑disinfector sterilizers. Coordinate supplies with the Central Sterile Technician.
• Assist in collection and labeling of specimens for pathology.
• Communicate appointment schedules to physicians and other medical providers, escort patients to the examination room in a respectful manner.
• Maintain room setup, test equipment for safety and functionality, and ensure supplies are available.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support certification — required at hire.
• Medical Assistant Certificate — required at hire.
• Gastroenterology Technician Specialist Certificate — within 6 months of hire.
• Completion of SGNA Technician Associates Program within 6 months of hire.

• Six months of gastroenterology procedure experience.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
