Pay Range: $22.62 – $35.22
Additional compensation may be available (shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities).

Description

The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for the assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Assist a licensed practitioner with patient care duties as directed.
  • Perform clinical tasks including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulations.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands‑on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants.
  • Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program.
  • Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces.
  • Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS – American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
  • 6 months of healthcare experience.
  • 6 months of medical assistant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
