We're looking for a skilled Ultrasound Technologist ready to perform diagnostic imaging procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and technical excellence. *** This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in either the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel will likely be required.***

Things You Will Do

Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and assist radiographers in performing X-ray procedures.

Prepare the ultrasound area, equipment, contrast materials, and supplies as needed for patients.

Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by positioning them correctly, adjusting immobilization devices, and configuring equipment settings for optimal image quality.

Build patient cooperation through clear explanations of procedures, answering questions, and employing techniques to reduce anxiety.

Implement radiation protection techniques when assisting with radiographic procedures by using beam-restrictive devices, patient shielding, and applying knowledge of exposure factors to minimize radiation exposure.

Assist radiologists, other physicians, and allied healthcare professionals in performing diagnostic or treatment procedures.

Monitor patient and equipment conditions during procedures and report changes to appropriate healthcare professionals.

Develop films in accordance with photographic techniques.

Maintain strict adherence to infection-control policies and protocols, including proper handling of contrast media and emergency response procedures.

Ensure consistent production of high-quality diagnostic images by following established standards and procedures, making technical adjustments as needed.

Document patient care services thoroughly in patient and department records.

Monitor and maintain imaging equipment through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordinating repairs when necessary.

Manage ultrasound supplies by monitoring inventory levels, anticipating supply needs, placing orders, and verifying deliveries.

Contribute to a safe and clean working environment by complying with all applicable procedures, rules, and regulations.

Requirements Qualifications

Completion of an approved Radiology Technologist program leading to a Diploma, Certificate, or Associate's degree.

Two (2) years of experience as a Radiology Technologist, including one (1) year of ultrasound experience.

Valid license and current registration to practice as a Radiological Technologist.

Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Proficiency with computers, common office equipment, and MS Office products.

Strong multitasking abilities, detail-oriented, organizational skills, and excellent verbal and written communication.

Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements, including potential shift changes based on operational needs and command priorities.

Ability to perform duties in stressful and high-paced environments without physical limitations.

Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods.

Location of services may at times be in remote, austere, or challenging environments.
