** Pharmacy Technician
** to join our Inpatient Pharmacy team!
** WORK SCHEDULE*
* • Per Diem
• Rotating/Variable shift
** POSITION HIGHLIGHTS*
* • Assist the Pharmacist in professional activities and assigned tasks including preparation and packaging of medications and other pharmacy-related functions
• All activities are performed under the general supervision of a registered Pharmacist
** PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Work in the IV room and compound IV medications in accordance with USP 797 standards.
* Deliver medications to nursing units and other areas of the hospital.
* Package medications in single-unit packages.
* Restock shelves in the unit dose fill and front counter areas.
* Complete monthly outdate check and cleaning as assigned by Manager.
* Package patient specific medications in single-unit packages.
* Perform bulk compounding of medication, under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
* Triage clinical inquiries requiring a pharmacist’s professional judgement.
* Answer inquiries not requiring a pharmacist’s professional judgement.
* Fill medications for automated dispensing cabinet refills for the entire hospital
* Handle, dispense and deliver hazardous drugs in accordance with USP 800 standards..
** REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
** Six months of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant OR equivalent education/experience
** LEGAL REQUIREMENT
** State of Washington Pharmacy Technician certification
