Services Manager – Accounting Compliance & Reporting (ACR)

Overview

Our Accounting Compliance & Reporting (ACR) practice focuses on helping clients manage global bookkeeping and finance compliance obligations proactively across 150+ countries. Our quality service and technical network enables clients to reduce inefficiencies, mitigate risk, and drive process improvement within their global finance operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on engagements spanning 100+ countries, collaborating with global and local teams.
  • Validate and govern global finance operations using a unified methodology, providing subsidiary governance throughout the legal‑entity life cycle.
  • Deliver high‑quality services and work products that exceed client expectations while ensuring contractual commitments are met.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and respond to client and internal stakeholder queries promptly.
  • Serve as primary contact for client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client businesses.
  • Coach and develop junior staff, ensuring performance feedback and alignment with development goals.
  • Deploy engagement teams leveraging US ACR and Global Delivery Service resources.
  • Apply up‑to‑date global trends, developments, and regulations to complex situations and non‑routine projects.
  • Analyze data, review analytics, and identify trends to support statutory reporting and bookkeeping documentation.
  • Own engagements, make decisions, resolve issues, and manage escalation under tight deadlines.
  • Drive service delivery improvements, propose new opportunities, and present to clients.
  • Assist practice growth through scoping new opportunities and proposal development.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related business discipline.
  • 5–7 years of audit/accounting experience.
  • CPA license or state bar membership (approved technical certification).
  • Knowledge of global statutory reporting/bookkeeping, preferably across multiple countries.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
  • US‑GAAP knowledge, including reconciliation experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and IT concepts.
  • Capability to analyze historical legal‑entity financial data for GAAP adjustments, reconciliations, and period‑end close.
  • Ability to identify root causes of deliverable delays and propose solutions.
  • Experience in continuous improvement projects for quality, visibility, efficiency, and client experience.
  • Change‑management influence within EY and clients.
  • Travel up to 20–30% to client locations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Client‑facing exposure in a global role.
  • Basic understanding of IT systems (SAP, Oracle, Business Central).
  • Familiarity with global indirect tax (VAT, GST) and corporate tax compliance.
  • IFRS knowledge.
What We Offer
  • A comprehensive compensation and benefits package with base salary range $90,300–$165,400 (US); $108,500–$188,100 for NY, WA and CA (excluding Sacramento).
