The Project Property Accountant will work to support the designated team on various projects, to be determined based on demand. The initial project will be to complete operating expense reconciliations for the portfolio.
Essential Functions- Accurately interpret financial reports in order to prepare CAM reconciliations and estimates for assigned portfolio (general ledgers for expenses, tenant ledgers for amounts previously billed).
- Accurately interpret tenant vs. landlord operating expense responsibilities in order to prepare CAM reconciliations and estimates for assigned portfolio.
- Ultimate preparation of annual CAM reconciliations and estimates for assigned portfolio.
- Perform other duties or projects as requested.

Experience Required- 5+ years accounting experience with 2+ years in the property management industry.
- Proficiency with property management accounting systems (Skyline, MRI, Yardi, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of accounting processes and procedures.
- Ability to accurately interpret lease terms and conditions, including tenant vs. landlord responsibility for operating expenses, including managing exclusions, caps, and base years.
- Strong computer skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Professional communication and organizational skills. Ability to provide excellent customer service and build relationships with clients, vendors and internal partners.
- Ability to speak, write and understand English.
- Professional communication etiquette with good oral and written communication skills.
- Accurate, attentive, detail‑oriented, with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and proactively problem solve.
- Ability to work outside of normal office hours to meet various deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload in order to meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
- Willingness for professional development and continual learning.
This is a standard office environment with standard office noise like talking, office equipment, etc.
Physical Demands- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- The position is often active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching.
- The employee must sometimes lift and/or move items up to 10 pounds.
- The employee must frequently sit and use a computer for long periods of time.
- Specific vision abilities are required to do this job including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
There are no direct supervisory responsibilities.
