Job Description & How to Apply Below

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join the US Prime Video Business Finance team, an exciting opportunity to use analytical insights to work directly with business leaders to shape Prime Video’s entertainment strategy. PV offers customers the largest selection of any streaming service in the world, combining exclusive content available for Prime members (e.g. Amazon Original hits like Fallout, Reacher, and The Boys;

licensed content from other studios; live events such as Thursday Night Football), 3P Channel subscriptions such as Paramount+, HBO Max, and Apple

TV+, an expansive catalog of transactional (rent or buy) content (TVOD), and linear ad supported channels with 24/7 programming. The PV team comprises individuals who are all obsessively focused on one mission: to give consumers the world’s best-in-class digital video customer experience. Our team directly supports the Prime Video Business and Product teams to connect the business strategy to financial outputs and analyze information to support and inform our business strategy.

With so much content available in one place for our customers to enjoy, we leverage analytics and advise in the strategic decision making to ensure that Prime Video is delivering the best entertainment experience for our customers and optimizing their journey to discover content they will love. You will connect with data to provide key data-driven insights, enable new analyses, and innovate on behalf of our business customers.

While analysis will focus on the US market, you will also collaborate with International teams to ensure we leverage insights globally. The ideal candidate is someone who loves to dive into data and transform it into insights that connect back to the customer experience. Familiarity with SQL and large datasets is critical in order to access and combine data to iterate on new metrics and analyses.

This is a fast-paced environment with inherent ambiguity which requires a self-starter that is comfortable working independently. They must be comfortable performing detailed, complicated analysis and communicating findings to stakeholders in a clear, efficient manner that highlights the most relevant points to the business’ strategy.

Key job responsibilities
  • Lead short and long-term financial forecasting for Prime Video retention and member balance
  • Work directly with various stakeholders (including partners from other business and finance teams) to develop and support key assumptions
  • Perform various ad hoc analyses to help business leaders solve business problems and understand the financial implications
  • Work together with business intelligence teams and actively participate in efforts to explore available data, construct datasets, and analyze for trends to inform analyses
  • Influence business decisions by effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of alternatives
About The Team

We love Prime Video, but more broadly TV and film entertainment in general. Applying that passion on a daily basis and being able to connect our work to how Prime Video delivers for customers is what keeps us going. While we are a Finance team, we very much feel like part of the business and product teams and are treated as such.
