Overview

Full-time Tax Senior position with 2 to 6 years of experience in tax preparation and planning. Our firm is a leading provider of tax, audit, and consulting services, seeking a talented and motivated Tax Senior to join our growing team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
  • Conduct thorough research on tax issues and provide well-reasoned solutions to clients
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and develop strategies to minimize tax liabilities for clients
  • Assist in the preparation of estimated tax payments and extensions
  • Review and analyze financial statements and tax documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and explain tax implications of various scenarios
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations through continuous education and research
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members
  • Collaborate with managers and partners on complex tax projects and client engagements
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies
  • Contribute to the firm's thought leadership by writing articles or presenting on tax topics
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards
  • Utilize tax software and other technology tools effectively to streamline processes and improve efficiency
Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master s degree in Taxation preferred)
  • 2 to 6 years of experience in tax preparation and planning
  • CPA certification required (or actively pursuing)
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., CCH Pro System fx, Ultra Tax, or similar)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with tax research tools such as CCH Intelli Connect or RIA Checkpoint
  • Knowledge of international tax issues and multi-state taxation
