* DaVita is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative Tax Associate to join our dynamic tax team. This role is a unique opportunity to support both the income tax and business tax functions, gaining broad exposure to various aspects of corporate tax. The Tax Associate will be instrumental in assisting with compliance, preparing tax work papers, and contributing to special projects that drive process improvements.

The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of accounting and tax principles, along with an interest in leveraging technology like Alteryx to enhance our tax processes.

* ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* · Participate in and support various departmental projects, including process improvement initiatives.  
· Assist in the preparation and filing of state and local income and other business-related tax returns.  + Draft for supervisors review the correspondence with taxing jurisdictions to resolve disputes including filing issues  + Assist with the reconciliation of tax-related general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
* · Utilize systems and software, including Alteryx, to gather, process, and analyze financial data for tax reporting.  
· Perform a wide variety of recurring and non-recurring tax functions

* QUALIFICATIONS:

**  + Proficient in Microsoft Excel skills  + Oracle, Alteryx, and/or Vertex experience a plus  + General knowledge of accounting and tax principles  + Performance and behavior reflect the Mission and Core Values of DaVita  + Bachelor’s degree (in accounting or related field) or previous tax experience is required
