Location/Hybrid: Seattle – 4 days onsite, 1 day WFH (Monday or Friday). Highly collaborative environment; analysts sit near CIOs and colleagues.
About the RoleAs an Investment Analyst
, you’ll be a key member of the client service team, supporting senior Client CIOs in delivering high-quality investment solutions to retirement plans, endowments, foundations, and hospital systems. You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing 15–25 clients (assigned current clients; not a sales role)
- Supporting client meetings and quarterly investment reviews
- Preparing clear, professional presentations and written communications for clients
- Partnering with internal teams on policy review, asset allocation design, portfolio implementation, manager/product evaluation, and performance reporting
- Applying performance calculation and attribution techniques to deliver actionable insights
- Crafting client-ready commentary explaining performance, market conditions, and strategic recommendations
This role provides a hands-on path to growth
: analysts work directly with CIOs, receive structured training from the HM (Andy Pickering), and are groomed for future CIO positions. Travel to clients typically begins in year two, though analysts can join virtual calls earlier.
- Experience: 2+ years in investment-related roles (institutional client service, consulting, or portfolio management)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably finance, economics, investments, mathematics, actuarial science, or related field); MBA/CFA preferred
- Licenses: FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 required (Russell pays and provides study time; must complete within six months)

Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders, and comfort in client-facing situations - Other
Skills:
Working knowledge of asset allocation, portfolio modeling, performance measurement; proficiency with analytical tools and ability to learn new systems quickly - CFA: Not required but interest or active pursuit is expected
