Description

We are building a team of valuation experts to provide a full suite of services in financial and tax reporting, mergers & acquisitions, complex financial instruments, illiquid securities, and private‑equity & real‑estate portfolios. The Valuation practice is growing steadily and is one of the most respected in the industry.

Some of the main responsibilities are:
  • Responsible for all aspects of client engagements including resource requirements, project workflow and budgeting
  • Develop, update and implement financial models for discounted cash flow, guideline market multiples, market transactions and options valuations
  • Conduct detailed reviews and ensure the accuracy of financial models and valuation analyses
  • Lead an engagement lifecycle, following process, timelines and delivery of valuation schedules and narrative reports to clients
  • Build strong relationships with clients through exceptional day‑to‑day project management, coordination and execution
  • Proactively communicate efficiently and effectively to all levels of the engagement team
  • Conduct final quality‑control review of reports and other client deliverables
  • Present findings clearly and articulately to clients/Committees and other interested parties
  • Create a learning environment by providing meaningful coaching to staff, leading training sessions and providing feedback to team members while facilitating learning and development
  • Cultivate and maintain positive, productive, and professional relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Work with Managing Directors on practice management and business development efforts

Core

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of valuation and modelling experience at a Big 4, investment bank, independent valuation firm or relevant consulting firm
  • Excellent analytical foundation with advanced understanding of financial statements and various valuation methodologies (DCF, LBO, comparable analysis, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related field
  • Preferred: qualified or studying for a professional credential such as CFA, ASA or CPA
  • Experience conducting financial analysis and financial modelling
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VBA, macros) required; a plus
  • Strong writing skills and experience developing presentations and reports in PowerPoint and Word
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Effective project management and organizational skills
  • Ambitious, results‑driven self‑starter able to thrive in an entrepreneurial culture

Salary range: $105,000 – $140,000 annually. A&M offers a discretionary bonus program. Recruitment is ongoing; candidates are considered until the opportunity is filled.
