FP&A Manager

Overview

A North Dallas manufacturing client is seeking an FP&A Manager to lead and own the FP&A process. The FP&A Manager will serve as a strategic finance partner to Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales, focusing on profitability, cost visibility, and financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis. The role supports production efficiency, inventory management, and capital investment decisions.

• Production cost analysis including material, labor, and overhead variances
• Annual budget and rolling forecast processes
• Financial modeling to support demand and capacity planning
• Margin and profitability analysis by product, customer, and channel
• Pricing and product mix decision support
• Capital investment and ROI modeling for equipment and plant improvements
• Standard cost development and maintenance
• Inventory performance and reserve analysis
• Monthly financial and operational reporting for leadership
• Support for new product costing and make versus buy decisions
• Process improvement and ERP reporting enhancements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A and cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
• Direct, hands-on experience defining and maintaining standard cost parameters within an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor)
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and data analysis
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial audiences
