Revenue Optimization Manager (AM Law 100)

A nationally recognized AM Law 100 firm with 500+ attorneys providing comprehensive legal services to innovative companies from startups to global enterprises.

Role:

The Revenue Manager is responsible for optimizing the firm’s revenue cycle by overseeing pricing, billing, realization, utilization, and collections performance. This role partners closely with practice group leaders, partners, billing attorneys, and finance leadership to improve matter profitability, cash flow, and overall financial performance while maintaining compliance with client agreements and firm policies.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze key revenue metrics including utilization, realization, leverage, and collection rates
• Identify revenue leakage and implement corrective strategies across practice groups
• Support annual revenue forecasting, budgeting, and long‑range planning
• Support partners with pricing strategies, alternative fee arrangements (AFAs), discounts, and client rate negotiations
• Review engagement letters and client guidelines to ensure accurate billing and compliance
• Work with billing teams to resolve invoice rejections, write‑offs, and write‑ups
• Develop dashboards and reports on revenue trends, matter economics, and client profitability

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field

4+ years of revenue management, finance, or pricing experience

Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment

Strong understanding of law firm economics (billing rates, realization, utilization)

Working Situation:

Hybrid

• Base Salary: $130-190k+, commensurate with experience.
• Additional Compensation:
  Annual performance‑based bonus.
