Salary range is $81k to $170k, with a midpoint of $118k. New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint; however, we may go slightly higher based on experience, internal equity and market.

General Purpose

Under general direction, acts as the global administrator for the Agency's financial planning, reporting, and budgeting application including all change management, application upgrades, data integrity, configuration, security, and reports management. Leads development, production, and maintenance of a wide range of financial reports, ad hoc queries, and data analysis for the FP&A division. Performs a variety of budgetary and financial analysis to support the development, presentation, and publishing of the annual budget and long-term financial plan.

Interprets data and financial results using a variety of techniques ranging from simple data aggregation and statistical analysis to more complex data mining. Supports the FP&A Director and managers in business and decision‑making processes.

Essential Functions

The following duties are a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position‑specific duties.

  • Establish requirements, document, test, and train others to ensure FP&A system meets end user requirements for monthly, quarterly, and annual operating and project budgets, forecasts, and budget versus actual reports.
  • Act as FP&A's technical support and liaise with IT or other departments and select vendors to troubleshoot system issues, create new and revise existing reports and update system configurations as needed.
  • Perform all global administrator functions for the Agency's FP&A system.
    • Set up user security/permissions.
    • Lead testing for changes to the FP&A system including software updates, deployment of scripts to fix issues, and changes to reports or other functionality.
    • Ensure timely integration of data from other Agency systems into the FP&A system and troubleshoot/resolve as needed.
    • Troubleshoot system and data problems, involving others in Finance, IT, and vendor, as necessary.
    • Update and maintain lookups, custom fields, calculations, and org/account hierarchy in the system.
    • Perform quality control for FP&A system to ensure accuracy and control of data.
    • Perform upload of annual budgets to the Agency's ERP system and project cash flows to the Agency's long‑term financial plan.
    • Maintain all FP&A system documentation to reflect the current version of the application in use, Agency customizations, and FP&A's processes and procedures as it relates to role.
