Responsibilities- Be a trusted advisor to middle‑market clients by providing strategic R&D tax credits consulting services, including managing research and development tax credit and deduction studies, researching and drafting technical memoranda, and providing audit defense assistance.
- Assist with managing client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensuring client profitability targets are met.
- Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients and the community.
- Invest in professional development individually and through‑wide learning and development programs.
- Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or related field required;
Master’s or advanced degree preferred. - CPA, JD, or EA required.
- Five (5)+ years of R&D work experience.
- Two (2)+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates desired.
- Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, and demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and ethical standards.
For California, Colorado, New York and Washington:
The compensation range for this role is $100,340 to $190,240. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
