- Review financials prepared by MAS (offshore team), including GL, AP/AR, and bank recs
- Identify and correct inconsistencies before reports go out to clients
- Act as the primary accounting liaison for investor clients and their controllers
- Coordinate with Property Managers on missing invoices, accruals, and exceptions
- Prepare and deliver final reporting packages—accurate, polished, and on time
- Manage day‑to‑day banking: initiate wires, maintain access, track balances, handle fraud controls
- Coordinate reserve tracking and banking compliance
- Maintain relationships with banking partners in coordination with the Controller
- Document and improve month‑end SOPs, especially handoffs with our offshore team
- Collaborate on systems, tech tools, and automation opportunities

- Hands‑on month‑end close experience
- Strong review skills—you catch what others miss
- Clear communicator, especially in writing (email, Teams, reporting notes)
- Comfortable working across time zones and functions, including with offshore teams
- Available to come to the office 2 days/week
- Experience coordinating with offshore teams
- Client‑facing or fund admin experience
- Exposure to App Folio, Yardi, or similar platforms
- CPA, or CPA track (a plus, not a requirement)
- Mission‑driven:
We do this to make housing better, not just to make money - Growth‑stage:
Big company ambition with small team flexibility - Remote‑first:
Work where you want, with quarterly in‑person meetups - Room to grow:
This role can evolve into Assistant Controller or beyond - Great people:
Smart, scrappy, good‑humored, and allergic to bureaucracy
Send your resume and a brief note about why this role speaks to you. We value clarity, attention to detail, and initiative—so show us that in how you present yourself.
