Analytics Engineer

Insight Global's client is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join their Data Engineering & Analytics team. This role sits closer to BI and product analytics than traditional data engineering and focuses on building trusted, scalable data models that drive decision‑making across the company. This is a true individual contributor role — ideal for someone who enjoys staying hands‑on, writing high‑quality SQL, building data models, and partnering closely with stakeholders rather than moving into people management.

You’ll work cross‑functionally with product, analytics, engineering, and business teams to ensure our data is accurate, accessible, and impactful.

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI‑adjacent roles
• Strong foundation as a data engineer, with hands‑on experience in SQL and Python
  
  SQL is more important than Python for this role
• Snowflake experience is required (data warehousing, modeling, performance considerations)
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on dbt experience, ideally working in dbt for an extended period (not brief exposure)
• Experience building data models and warehouses that support business metrics and analytics use cases
• Comfortable working closely with stakeholders and communicating across teams and divisions
• Familiarity with AWS, Git Hub, and CI/CD processes
• Experience working at larger, scaled organizations preferred (to ensure exposure to complex data problems)
