We are currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for our Civil & Structural Engineering Practice in Bellevue, WA. In this role you will work as part of a team responsible for the inspection, analysis, and evaluation of geotechnical systems (e.g., foundations, retaining walls, excavation support systems, levees, dams, slopes, etc.) and frequently the preparation of repair/mitigation concepts.

• Conduct field inspections and subsurface explorations.
• Perform geotechnical and civil engineering analyses.
• Assist with peer review of the design and construction of geotechnical systems.
• Prepare conceptual designs for the repair/restoration of damaged geotechnical systems.

• Ph.D. in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university + 3 years of post‑graduate experience.
• Or, M.S. in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university + a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• P.E. License in at least one state is required.
• Degrees, experience or related coursework in Geology/Geological Engineering, Groundwater/Surface Water Hydrology or Structural Engineering is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and potential to develop successful client relations.
• Attention to detail, dedication to quality and accuracy, desire to work in a fast‑paced environment, and effective leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently or support multiple group projects and to interact with other engineers, administrative staff, and clients.
• Ability to gather information from a wide variety of sources and to synthesize and convey technical conclusions.
• Knowledge of geotechnical modeling software, graphing software, GIS, and imaging software is a strong plus.

The base salary range for this position is USD $ – USD $ per year, dependent on experience and capabilities.
