Overview
One of the top electrical contractors in Seattle is looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator, with experience in transit and industrial projects - TYG is excited to partner with a firm ranked in the top 5% of electrical contractors in the city, who is entering a period of rapid expansion!
Responsibilities- Analyze plans/specifications and perform detailed take-offs (materials, labor, equipment, overhead) to produce accurate cost estimates, including all hidden or implied work
- Lead junior estimators and collaborate across teams
- Solicit, compare and negotiate vendor/subcontractor pricing, maintain current cost databases, and identify value engineering opportunities without sacrificing code compliance or system performance
- Prepare bid proposals, support budget forecasting, attend pre-bid/site meetings, and ensure smooth transition of awarded work to project management/construction teams
- 7+ years professional experience in electrical estimation
- Experience across a range of industrial and transit building sectors
