Salary: $108,000 - $153,000
Level: Mid
Responsibilities- Pre-Design Engineering – Perform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information, and prepare site assessment reports.
- Prepare electrical schematic designs.
- Design Engineering – Design power single line and riser diagrams; perform electrical calculations (arc flash, coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, load flow) using ETAP/SKM; design low voltage and medium voltage infrastructure; design for electrical equipment (substation, switchboard, transformer, panel board) replacement projects; understand and utilize CAD/BIM standards; have a working knowledge of National Electrical Code, Washington Codes and Energy Standards to design electrical systems;
coordinate among different disciplines (mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, architectural) and work closely with the design team. - Project Management – Lead projects with a service-first mindset, oversee electrical design for small to medium-sized projects, mentor junior design engineers, assist in proposal preparation for small to medium projects with senior engineers, and uphold P2S standards for documentation and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
- Construction Administration – Provide timely responses to RFIs, review submittals for engineering intent and code compliance, collaborate with contractors and field teams, participate in punch walks and punch list reports, and advocate for the client during construction to maintain design vision.
Technical
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer License preferred
- 5-10 years’ experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead electrical design projects
- Demonstrate project management skills
- Experience using NEC, AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit required
Non-Technical
- Experience mentoring emerging professionals and guiding them through technical challenges
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, elevate team performance, and implement sustainable, high-impact solutions
