The role is part of the In-Space Systems business unit, which is focused on addressing two of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space infrastructure and increasing mobility on-orbit.

As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will be a key player in creating a groundbreaking software simulation testbed. Join our team and be at the forefront of innovation, taking ownership of planning, architectural design, requirements gathering, certification, and implementation for the exciting new software simulation testbed.

Your expertise will be vital in owning development and planning of simulation models and test scripts. You’ll contribute to critical work being performed by the development and testing teams, implementing simulation solutions crucial for the project's success. Moreover, you'll develop sophisticated simulation models that precisely reflect scenarios and craft detailed test scripts to guarantee integration and test events.

Collaborate with teammates and valued customers to capture essential requirements, contributing to the creation of a comprehensive testbed for the Blue Ring Spacecraft that supports a wide range of development and operational activities.

This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and attention towards safe and reliable spaceflight.

** Responsibilities:
*** Contribute to comprehensive release strategy, meticulous coordination, and detailed documentation processes.
* Craft sophisticated and accurate simulation models that push the boundaries of what's possible.
* Develop intricate test scripts designed to ensure detailed integration and the success of crucial test events.

* Qualifications:

*** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
* Over 5 years of relevant proven expertise in developing software simulation testbeds for innovative systems
* Proficient in C / C++ development with a strong technical prowess
* Skilled in Python or similar scripting languages
* In-depth knowledge of real-time operating systems and embedded control systems, including APIs, interfaces, and device drivers
* Familiarity with communication protocols such as UDP/TCP, I2C, UART, etc.
* Exceptionally organized great teammate with stellar written and verbal communication skills
** Desired:
*** Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
* 8+ years in large-scale engineering systems
* Skilled in vehicle software simulation integration
* Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization
* Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Git Lab, or Git Hub
* Strong debugging at the software-hardware interface
* Familiar with hardware emulation like Simics
* Expertise in customizing continuous integration systems
* Understanding of electrical and electronic engineering concepts
* Solid grasp of IP networking
* Competent in MATLAB and Simulink
* Acquainted with GNC systems and 6
