Principal Engineer - Engineering Infrastructure & IT

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer for our client to drive complex architecture, infrastructure strategy, and long-term technology innovation across our global organization. This role serves as a senior technical leader—shaping systems, guiding engineering teams, and partnering with the teams worldwide.

• Own and evolve the system architecture supporting R&D engineering teams.
• Ensure reliable, efficient delivery of IT services, standards, policies, and controls.
• Lead strategic, high-impact technical initiatives and influence cross-team decisions.
• Drive innovation in infrastructure, cloud, networking, security, automation, and platform engineering.
• Define requirements, design system-level architectures, and create engineering roadmaps.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption.
• Mentor engineering teams and guide technical depth across the organization.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners; occasional domestic/international travel.

• 10+ years of broad experience across IT infrastructure, systems engineering, networking, cloud, security, and operations.
• Advanced expertise in Windows/Linux/macOS fleet management, automation (bash, Python, Terraform, Ansible), and container systems (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with cloud/orchestration platforms (Open Stack, vSphere, Nutanix, AWS, Azure) and Microsoft tools (Entra , Intune, O365).
• Strong understanding of IT processes (SDLC, change management, incident response, JSOX).
• Proven ability to mentor and influence at all levels.
• BS/MS in Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
