An engineering consulting company in Seattle, WA is currently hiring for a Mechanical Project Engineer.
This position will be a hybrid opportunity in Seattle, WA working 3 days a week in office and 2 days remote. This position does not support relocation, and the candidate must reside near Seattle, WA upon applying. This role requires a minimum of 10+ years of experience in the Mechanical Industry and strong proficiency in Revit.
Pay – $–$ (Depending on years of experience, tenure, software proficiency, relevant job titles, etc.)
Location – Seattle, WA (Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Schedule – Standard Monday–Friday (40 hours per week)
Responsibilities- Oversee design and project management for Educational, Mission-Critical, Retail, Datacenter, Federal, and Commercial projects.
- Manage and lead assigned project teams, including mentorship of junior engineers.
- Utilize Revit proficiently and apply working knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam for client-driven design requirements.
- Coordinate mechanical design efforts including HVAC systems, plumbing, and other discipline-specific project needs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution from concept through completion.
- 10+ years of experience in the Mechanical Industry.
- 5+ years of experience within the construction industry (plan spec or design-build).
- Proficiency in Revit with working knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
- Experience delivering designs for at least two building types:
Educational, Mission-Critical, Retail, Datacenter, Federal, or Commercial projects. - Mechanical design and project engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of building codes and building design.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience leading teams and mentoring junior-level staff.
- Job-hoppy tenure.
- No Revit experience.
- No experience within Educational, Mission-Critical, Retail, Datacenter, Federal, or Commercial projects.
- Less than 5 years of relevant experience.
- Multi-discipline design-build firm that has a variety of project types for employees to work on. Career-oriented culture that prides itself on giving employees longevity, growth opportunity, learning opportunity; average tenure among sr. staff is 17 years.
- Autonomy and low process—each individual has ownership over their projects with tools provided for consistency.
- Seven studios with cross-referencing, ensuring no one is pigeonholed and offering exposure to varied technologies and project types.
- Large enough to offer project diversity but small enough to avoid large-company bureaucracy.
- Strong backlog, government-supported and stable. Approximately 60/40 tech vs. government work; 90% of projects come from repeat clients.
- Work includes 60% of education projects for the state of WA, Nordstrom nationwide, Amazon grocery, and many others.
- Only two layoffs in 30 years; departures are typically due to relocation or personal reasons.
- 200 total employees and 35 shareholders, with pathways to expand ownership.

This is a Permanent position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
Profit Sharing, 401k, bonus, 4 salary evaluations a year.
