Key Job ResponsibilitiesAWS Hardware Engineering is looking for a customer-obsessed, team-driven technology leader to take our engineering of server hardware and software to the next level. As a hardware engineer on the PCIe and Signal Integrity team within the Core Components Organization, you will own the hardware design of next-generation server components and systems. You will work on the architecture and development of high-speed, complex PCB designs for server components.
You will be responsible for PCIe topology for the EC2 servers, including retimer and switch hardware. Your expertise in high speed PCB design will be crucial as you work with an interdisciplinary team of engineers to design, develop, validate, launch, monitor and troubleshoot high throughput interfaces will design and build test hardware and environments to validate your designs and to support debugging.

Basic Qualifications- BS degree in electrical, computer engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in hardware development, designing complex electrical products at volume.
- Experience in identifying, root‑causing and resolving high‑speed interface hardware issues in large scale systems.
- Experience in designing and building test hardware, writing test plans, test procedures and performing functional testing for design validation and verification.
- Experience in designing high‑speed PCB designs (PCIe, DDR, USB, etc.)
- Master’s degree in electrical, computer engineering or equivalent.
