Client Commercial Airplanes is looking for Associate and Experienced Non‑Destructive Test (NDT) Specialists to support the In‑Service NDT team based in Tukwila, WA on first shift. Above all, Employees will be provided the opportunity to seek, speak, and listen within the organization which they are encouraged to share externally with each Client customer to build balanced work relationships.
- Authors Non‑Destructive Test (NDT) procedures.
- Incorporates revisions authored by Method Responsible Level III in the standard procedure review process.
- Develops Computer Assisted Drawings (CAD) of specialized calibration standard.
- Performs setup for non‑destructive test or measurement equipment to calibration standards.
- Composes procedure figures providing information on inspection location, geometry, accessibility, probe/transducer placement, and notch signal response.
- Reports potential adverse trends or anomalous results.
- 1+ years of education or experience in NDI (non‑destructive inspection) or NDT (non‑destructive test).
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work variable shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends if necessary.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 800 hours of Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
- 300 hours of Ultrasonic Shear‑Wave Testing.
- 800 hours of Eddy Current Testing (ET).
- Experience with CAD Software.
- Experience writing UT & ET techniques and inspection procedures.
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Associate) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Bachelor+7 years, 11 years related work experience, etc.).
