Project Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Engineer to lead engineering activities for our projects. The successful candidate will ensure all work is conducted in compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable permits. This role is integral in coordinating project activities and ensuring they align with ethical and safety standards.
Responsibilities- Oversee all engineering activities ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable permits.
- Prepare project work plans, work element plans, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
- Develop pay estimates for client submission.
- Conduct critical path scheduling, baseline scheduling, and three-week look-ahead scheduling.
- Manage cost control, including tracking and reporting project costs.
- Mentor and train field engineers assigned to the project.
- Handle project survey requirements and planning.
- Coordinate project activities with clients and stakeholders.
- Monitor production and operations on assigned jobs.
- Oversee contractor quality control reporting.
- Provide general support for the project.
- Organize project files and maintain the project office.
- Ensure compliance with the company's Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct.
- Promote an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer.
- Proficiency in project management and construction management.
- Experience with mechanical systems and infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge in cost control and scheduling, including estimating and PM software.
- Familiarity with Procore and Bluebeam.
Skills & Qualifications
- Heavy Civil Project Experience is highly preferred.
The work environment includes managing diverse engineering projects, coordinating with various stakeholders, and maintaining high ethical and safety standards. The role requires the ability to work collaboratively and lead a team in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $145000.00/yr.
100% paid medical, dental, and vision plans for eligible employees and 80% paid for their families;
