Summary

King County's Metro Transit Capital Division is seeking a dynamic and innovative Electrical Engineering Supervisor to lead a talented team of professionals and shape the future of sustainable public transportation. As the Electrical Engineering Supervisor (Transit Capital Supervisor), you will oversee a team of 5-6 talented electrical engineers who support some of Metro’s most critical capital investments. Your team’s portfolio spans State of Good Repair projects, Trolley Systems, Bus Electrification, Passenger Facilities program and Zero-Emissions program initiatives
, and other high-impact programs.

In this role, you’ll set a strategic direction for the team, ensure high-quality engineering delivery, and cultivate a supportive environment where staff can grow and thrive. Your leadership will directly influence how Metro advances innovation, equity, and sustainability across the department.

Recruitment Information

This recruitment will be used to fill one career service vacancy. In addition, this selection process may be used to generate an eligibility pool for future career service, special duty assignment or term-limited temporary vacancies that may occur in this classification within the Capital Division. The eligibility pool will be retained for 12 months from the date it is established and may be extended or used at the discretion of the hiring authority.
