King County's Metro Transit Capital Division is seeking a dynamic and innovative Electrical Engineering Supervisor to lead a talented team of professionals and shape the future of sustainable public transportation. As the Electrical Engineering Supervisor (Transit Capital Supervisor), you will oversee a team of 5-6 talented electrical engineers who support some of Metro’s most critical capital investments. Your team’s portfolio spans State of Good Repair projects, Trolley Systems, Bus Electrification, Passenger Facilities program and Zero-Emissions program initiatives
, and other high-impact programs.

In this role, you’ll set a strategic direction for the team, ensure high-quality engineering delivery, and cultivate a supportive environment where staff can grow and thrive. Your leadership will directly influence how Metro advances innovation, equity, and sustainability across the department.

The Capital Division plays a vital role in delivering groundbreaking programs, such as Zero Emissions (ZE) infrastructure. Our teams are at the forefront of electrifying bus bases and establishing opportunity charging along transit corridors. The transformation is a major, multi-year effort that requires deep collaboration across every Metro Division.

Beyond electrification, the Capital Division ensures that Metro’s facilities remain safe, efficient, and ready to support daily operations. Through ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and modernization efforts, we help keep the system running smoothly. By integrating green building practices and sustainable design in every project, we reinforce Metro’s commitment to a cleaner, healthier and brighter future for all.

This recruitment will be used to fill one career service vacancy. In addition, this selection process may be used to generate an eligibility pool for future career service, special duty assignment or term-limited temporary vacancies that may occur in this classification within the Capital Division. The eligibility pool will be retained for 12 months from the date it is established and may be extended or used at the discretion of the hiring authority.
