At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond.

Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

As a part of a small, cross-functional team, you'll help define the scope and manage work for the Command, Control, and Communications (C3) team for New Glenn as its C3 Technical Project Manager. You'll share in the team's impact on all aspects of New Glenn Operations by ensuring ground electrical, vehicle Transporter Erector (TE), and launch support systems are ready for integrated operations and safe spaceflight.

This is a hands-on position focused on scoping, scheduling, tracking, and reporting the design, development, qualification, and activation of C3 systems for New Glenn in FL. In this role, you'll also identify and communicate risks and opportunities to project/mission schedules to ensure efficient implementation of new equipment.

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

  • Ensure reliable delivery of IP multicast-based telemetry data sourced from launch vehicle, ground support equipment and RF down range data relay stations through entire launch lifecycle
  • Establish network specifications and requirements through cross organizational coordination for both ground and launch vehicle systems in support of manufacturing, processing, launch and recovery
  • Establish procedures for verification of requirements and specifications against selected network hardware through bench and integrated systems testing
  • Recommend and apply network security processes and mechanisms to ensure the integrity of mission critical network systems and ensure the safety of personnel and flight hardware
  • Develop and maintain configuration control and inventory of all mission network assets
  • Create detailed documentation including functional and logical diagrams for all mission networks
  • Produce network performance data using Wireshark and other analysis tools for the recording and analyzing of raw network traffic on all mission networks support pre and post launch data review
  • Manage security firewalls (palo alto)
  • Support 24/7 network monitoring and management using Solarwinds Network Performance Monitor and other COTS tools
  • Establish network automation using python, ansible and other scripting tools to deploy configuration changes and run detailed reports
