Job Overview
The Environmental Coordinator is an entry level environmental position with at least 2 years to 4 years of experience. The Environmental Coordinator will be part of the Environmental Health and Safety team and will report to Environmental Manager or Environmental Compliance Manager. Provide environmental compliance support and sustainability tracking including technical assistance to project teams. The Environmental Coordinator shall be an excellent role model for Skanska and subcontractor personnel.
Support project teams in identifying and providing solutions for construction environmental compliance and environmental hazards. The Environmental Coordinator must be a flexible and adaptable team player, have strong communication, training, and client service skills.
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or Environmental Studies, or closely related field
- Minimum of 2 years relevant heavy civil infrastructure experience
- Ability to manage SWPPP/TESC and coordinate with Environmental Consultants and service Providers
- Provide environmental trainings and orientations to project teams
- Experience calibrating field meters and collecting field samples of stormwater for pH and turbidity
- Ability to understand and interpret construction documents and permit requirements
