Compensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $95,000 - $130,000 annually (DOE), FLSA exempt.

- Run the full project life cycle: planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, fabrication, field installation, startup, and closeout.
- Plan and manage the project schedule and account for variances.
- Plan and manage the project estimate and budget setup.
- Manage and control project cost and account for variances to the estimate.
- Create accurate projections of cost at completion.
- Plan and manage project control systems.
- Participate in work permit planning and coordination.
- Write and manage RFIs and change orders.
- Take off quantities and prepare pricing for changes when directed.
- Perform estimating and procurement activities.
- Thoroughly review all drawings, submittals, samples, and shop drawings to ensure installation and final product meet contract requirements.
- Perform field engineering for construction convenience items, including calculations and design drafting when required.
- Provide technical backup for lift plans, rigging, and QA/QC walkdowns.
- Direct activities of project staff personnel.
- Lead, mentor, and manage interns, field engineers, project engineers, and other team members.
- Maintain proactive and positive relationships with craft personnel, supervision, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments (Safety, CAD/BIM, Accounting, IT).
- Represent JH Kelly at client and project meetings.
- Keep management informed of project status, scheduling, and financial performance.
- Ensure, follow, and promote company safety and quality protocols.
- Review construction procedures and provide technical support for work.
- Ensure construction work in‑house and by subcontractors complies with contract requirements.
- Oversee punch lists, documentation, and final handoff.
- Ensure systems are delivered clean, compliant, and ready for operation.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Experience: 5+ years in mechanical project engineering, piping trades, or technical field coordination, with a deep understanding of hydronic/process piping systems, layout, and installation practices. Experience in high‑tech or semiconductor construction is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, construction management, or equivalent hands‑on experience in mechanical systems.
- Skills: Fully proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam, with intermediate skills in Excel. Proficient with Navisworks, Revizto, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Bluebeam. Strong project management, communication, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to write clear RFIs and interpret technical documents.
