A leading global semiconductor and power electronics company is seeking an experienced Patent Litigation Counsel to join its in-house legal team. This is a high-impact role supporting a sophisticated IP portfolio at the intersection of hardware, power management, and advanced electrical engineering.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior legal leadership, engineering teams, and external counsel on complex patent disputes and IP strategy, with significant exposure to cutting-edge technology and business-critical matters.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and support patent litigation matters in the US and internationally, including coordination with outside counsel
- Assist with IP enforcement, defence, and broader litigation strategy
- Work closely with internal engineering teams to analyse highly technical issues relating to semiconductor and power management technologies
- Support claim construction, invalidity and infringement analyses
- Contribute to broader IP risk management and dispute resolution strategy
- Minimum 4+ years of legal experience
, ideally with a focus on patent litigation (law firm and/or in-house) - Strong technical grounding in electrical engineering concepts; semiconductor or power electronics exposure highly desirable
- Experience working with outside counsel on complex patent disputes
- Admitted to practice in Washington
