Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Bridge Project Design Engineer V for employment in the Seattle, WA office.
Responsibilities- Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for the team.
- Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
- Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work by others.
- Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
- Apply expertise in all steps of completing the discipline component of the PS&E package.
- Perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
- Prepare technical specification sections.
- Provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- WA State PE
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering degree.
- Possess SE license or ability to pass SE exam within one year of employment.
- 8+ years of bridge design and plan development experience.
- Project experience in Washington State related to state and/or local bridge design project work with seismic and inelastic analysis and design.
- Proficiency in software such as Micro Station, LEAP Concrete/Bridge, PTC MathCAD, CSiBridge and/or MIDAS Civil.
- Experience leading a staff of engineers and CAD personnel.
- Experience in the plan production of transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, and retaining walls.
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing.
- Structural problem analysis skills and knowledge of design and calculation tools/software.
- Knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable codes.
- Ability to do occasional field work (site visits and inspections) and travel.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $150,000 to $240,000.
