The Opportunity

As Amazon Prime Air expands its drone delivery service, we’re seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our U.S. Regulatory Affairs Infrastructure and Strategy team. This is a pivotal role in which you will shape the regulatory landscape for commercial drone delivery, working at the intersection of technology and aviation policy. You will be instrumental in obtaining essential aviation approvals, building strategic relationships with external aviation stakeholders, and helping to establish the framework that will further enable scaling of safe drone delivery operations.

You will serve as a bridge between Amazon’s innovative technology teams, its drone operations teams, airspace users and communities, and regulatory bodies. You will ensure that Prime Air is fully engaged with other airspace users to guarantee safe use of airspace and will translate complex technical objectives into regulatory strategies while navigating the rapidly evolving landscape of unmanned aircraft systems regulations.

Your work will directly enable continued expansion of Prime Air’s operations and help to bring this transformative service to more customers.

Export Control License:
This position may require a deemed export control authorization for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
