Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and test mechanical systems, propulsion systems, and structures, integrating materials and processes, manufacturing, test, operations, and systems engineering.
• Participate in the entire design cycle: requirements derivation, conceptual and detailed design, system performance modeling, structural analysis, manufacturing and integration support, development testing, and qualification.
• Assemble and test development and flight hardware, including planning, execution, data reduction, and analysis.
• Identify and implement design changes to improve reliability and reduce operational cost.
• Perform duties subject to our business unit objectives.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related engineering.
• Graduated within the last year with a start date of Fall 2026.
• Basic understanding of design fundamentals, material selection, interface definition, and environmental considerations.
• Basic proficiency in 3D CAD (Creo Pro/E preferred) and in strength and mechanics of materials.
• Basic proficiency in structural analysis and finite element analysis (ANSYS preferred).
• Relevant internship or co‑op experience demonstrating technical skill and leadership.
• Adept at building trust, maintaining positive professional relationships, and strengthening an inclusive culture.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.
• Flexible and adaptable mindset.
• Self‑driven initiative to seek requirements with minimal guidance.

Desired

• MS degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Experience with flight control actuators, deployable devices, hydraulic systems, separation systems, or similar mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of aerospace materials, surface treatments, and fasteners.
• Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Hands‑on experience with machining, building, and maintaining pressurized or mechanical systems.
• Mechanical component testing experience.
• Test instrumentation and data‑acquisition experience.
• Understanding of fatigue and damage tolerance fundamentals.
