Design Engineer - Aerospace Mechanisms - Seattle WA area - 0805

Our client in the Seattle, WA area is a leading designer and manufacturer of specialty aircraft modifications and products. The company has several new programs and is looking for great candidates to discuss direct opportunities for Design Engineers with Mechanism Experience using Solidworks or a similar CAD system.

Keltia is a technical support services company providing Engineering Design, CAD Training, and specialized technical recruiting services primarily to the aerospace industry and other sectors in Washington State, the US, Canada, and Europe. We have been in business for 20 years in the US and 8 years in Europe.

Mechanical Design Engineer – Mechanisms
  • Solidworks or any 3D modeling software design personnel to develop aerospace mechanisms for latches, doors, etc., including the generation of models, specifications, and drawings.
  • Responsible for designing and identifying component parameters, selecting materials, assemblies, and parts to be used for commercial aircraft.
  • Demonstrated background with mechanisms, kinematics, or structural design in the aircraft industry.
  • Preparation of FAA documents and test plans; knowledge of aerospace industry materials, hardware, and processes.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience as a Design Engineer, preferably within the aerospace industry.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, especially working with composite materials.
  • Strong communication and interaction skills.
  • Ability to lead continuous improvement projects and evaluate statistical data analysis tools during continuous improvement projects.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
