Position: Project Engineer (Seattle, WA)

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Project Engineer to join their Offsite Manufacturing team in Seattle. This role is focused on supporting large data center projects and offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact within a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about solving problems, improving workflows, and driving project success.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and scopes of work.
  • Manage procurement, purchasing, and supply chain coordination.
  • Track project financials and support budget adherence.
  • Coordinate logistics and vendor communication to ensure timely material delivery.
  • Assist with RFIs, submittals, and schedule tracking using tools like P6 or MS Project.
  • Interpret shop drawings and support construction sequencing.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Support project managers and field teams with technical documentation and reporting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in construction or manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in Navisworks, Bluebeam, Excel, and scheduling tools (P6 or MS Project).
  • Strong understanding of construction processes including steel, heavy equipment, and general sequencing.
  • Experience with purchasing coordination and material logistics.
  • Experience working with a major mechanical subcontractor, especially in HVAC systems, is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, estimating, approving change orders, and cost tracking.
Disqualifiers
  • Less than 2 years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction.
  • No experience with HVAC systems or mechanical subcontractors.
  • Lack of financial oversight experience (budgeting, estimating, change orders, cost tracking).
  • No proficiency in scheduling tools like P6 or MS Project.
  • Limited understanding of construction sequencing or shop drawings.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
