BIM Detailer
We are seeking a BIM Detailer to work in a direct hire role with our client in Seattle, WA. Experience with MEP/HVAC is required.
Location: Seattle, WA
Work Hours: Between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
Base pay range$/yr - $/yr
General
Job Description:
This position is primarily responsible for successfully modeling and coordinating projects from start to finish using the latest technologies, Virtual Construction Standards, and industry best practices to ensure high-quality and efficient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Lead and perform detailing for Mechanical Piping, Process Piping, and/or Plumbing systems.
- Optimize layout/routing, minimize fitting usage, and identify design flaws.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and risk reduction.
- Interpret and extract data from contract documents (plans, specs, submittals).
- Model and coordinate in 3D using Revit and CAD tools.
- Participate in project coordination meetings and collaborate with BIM and management teams.
- Generate layout point files for Trimble and Topcon.
- Support other detailers as needed.
- Maintain constant communication with project stakeholders including PMs, foremen, fabrication shops, and external trades.
- Manage model uploads, logs, RFIs, and documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of relevant field experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Background in Mechanical Piping, Process Piping, and/or Plumbing trades.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in:
- Autodesk Revit, Fabrication, Navisworks Manage, BIM 360 Glue & Docs
- Bluebeam Revu, BOX, Smartsheet
- Google Workspace (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Forms)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Applicable building codes (local, state, international)
- Experience with Dynamo, Forge, Python, Revit API, C#, , F#
