As a Project Manager at Shimmick, you will manage all phases of construction, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely delivery while coordinating with multiple stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, engineers, and field crews. Responsibilities- Ensure the implementation of the company Health, Safety, and Environmental Program on the project.
- Manage the project budget and financial well‑being.
- Staff management and development – responsible for determining project staff needs, delegation of responsibilities, training, and development of highly effective teams.
- Resource planning and management, including managing company resources assigned to the project as well as third‑party vendors, designers, fabricators, and contractors.
- Manage and coordinate all subcontractors, procurements, submittals, quality control, and critical‑path construction schedule.
- Direct the efforts of the full engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction management, and commissioning team in creating the execution plans, organization, and contracts needed to deliver the project within the stated cost and schedule.
- Continue to build a positive relationship with highly important & strategic clients who have significant future work in the area.
- Represent the company and project interests with relevant third‑party agencies.
- Prepare and issue Progress Reports and ensure timely payments.
- Monitor compliance with various regulatory statutes as well as compliance with applicable Shimmick policies and procedures.
- Project stakeholder management and interface.
- Creation and implementation of Project Updates – Job Status Reports and Quarterly EAC Reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Previous heavy civil construction experience, managing projects in excess of $15 million.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and risk mitigation.
- 10+ years’ experience involving heavy civil construction projects.
- Water and Waste Water Treatment Plants, Concrete Structures, Electrical, Transit, Underground Utilities.
- Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Primavera P6.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and consistent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage changing deadlines and work well under pressure for multiple team leaders.
- Work independently and effectively to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Highly organized with excellent time‑management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skill.
- Excellent project management skills with ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands in deadline‑driven environment.
- This position is based in the greater Seattle area.

The salary range for this position is between $150,000 - $200,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.
