Job Summary
The Senior Field Service Engineer – RUPS Systems specializes in rotary UPS power system distribution builds, mechanical and generator integration, system integration, start-ups, and preventative maintenance programs. This role requires advanced technical expertise, mechanical aptitude, leadership skills, and hands-on field experience with both electrical control systems and rotating equipment such as generators and flywheels. Strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to delivering high-performance power solutions in data centers, hospitals, industrial facilities, and utility-scale environments are essential.

The ideal candidate will have experience with mechanical systems, generators, and rotary equipment, and be comfortable commissioning complex power systems in the field. You will act as the front-line expert for bringing large-scale RUPS systems online, resolving technical issues, and training others. The engineer will provide technical software and hardware troubleshooting support to IEM customers on-site across North America while performing start-ups, retrofits, or preventative maintenance.
You will work with cross-functional IEM teams to integrate current and new technologies, commission complex generator and RUPS systems, optimize power infrastructure, and ensure seamless operation as defined by the customer’s RUPS design and sequence of operations (SOO). You will serve as the point of contact for all field service personnel related to RUPS startup, generator support, preventative maintenance, 24-hour emergency response, and remote technical assistance.
