Additive Industries is a global leader in industrial 3D metal printing. Our modular Metal

FAB systems are used in demanding industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical devices, and high-tech manufacturing. With offices in Europe and the U.S., we are expanding rapidly in North America and are seeking a Field Service & Support Engineer to join our growing U.S. team near Seattle, WA.

What you will do

As part of our Customer Lifecycle Support team, you will be the primary contact for customers in your region. Your role is critical to ensuring maximum uptime, system performance, and customer satisfaction.

  • Install, set up, and qualify Metal

    FAB systems at customer sites.
  • Train customer operators and technicians on system operation and maintenance.
  • Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting, both remotely and onsite.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective repairs.
  • Monitor system performance, analyze issues, and provide regular technical reports.
  • Support upgrades, replacements, and performance improvements.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor and ambassador for Additive Industries.
What we are looking for

Education & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Industrial Automation, or related field) OR equivalent hands‑on experience; ITAR regulations require U.S. persons (Citizen or Green Card holder).
  • Solid background in servicing high‑tech or complex systems, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and reporting; experience with training end users a plus.
  • Knowledge of control technology, electrical systems, and optics; experience with lasers, optical components, Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies, or Beckhoff PLC systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills; able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform under pressure.
  • Structured way of working.
  • Willingness to travel within North America.
