North Seattle College is looking to hire a Business Technology Management instructor in the Workforce Department.
Opportunity is open until filled; first review of materials will begin November 17, 2025.
Position SummaryBusiness Technology Management is an interdisciplinary program administered under the Workforce Instruction division at North Seattle College. The program combines business, applied IT, management, and communication skills to manage and automate information flows within and across organizations. Emphasizing project-based learning, program foundations include business cloud computing, data analytics, digital marketing, entrepreneurship, customer relationship management & supervision.
Responsibilities- Teach one or more college-level Business Technology Management courses (e.g., Business Productivity Applications, Data Analysis and Visualization, Cloud Computing, Business and Marketing Communications, Artificial Intelligence Tools).
- Work effectively with students, colleagues, and staff in a culturally diverse urban environment.
- Deliver high-quality instruction through teaching strategies that foster an inclusive and equitable learning environment.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and continuous learning in relation to teaching and learning as well as the Business Technology Management field.
- Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Ensure course materials meet digital accessibility standards.
- Use appropriate educational technologies and communication tools.
- Support student achievement and contribute to a positive learning environment.
- Maintain updated program and course curriculum to be current based on instructional innovations and recommendations from the Technical Advisory Committee.
- Work in various formats including in-person, hybrid, and online, and at different times (day and evening) based on program needs.
- This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement with representation by AFT‑Seattle.
- Resume outlining educational and teaching experience.
- Cover letter addressing qualifications and alignment with position responsibilities.
- List of courses taught (by college and term; Word or Excel format).

What You Will Be Working On- Teach assigned courses in the Business Technology Management program in in-person, hybrid, and/or online modalities.

- Master's Degree in Business or business-related fields (e.g., Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Project Management).
- Experience teaching coursework in Business or Business-related fields to adult learners.
- Proficiency with application of current technology tools that are used in business operations.
- Demonstrated commitment to serving diverse student populations.
- Strong collaboration skills in professional settings.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems, e.g., Canvas.
