Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School (Preschool–Grade
8) is seeking a joyful, skilled, and mission-driven Kindergarten Teacher to join our faculty. Kindergarten at OLL is a foundational year where faith, wonder, literacy, and social development come alive. We are seeking an educator who understands the importance of structured play, strong early literacy instruction, and building confident, joyful learners.

• Deliver research-based early literacy instruction including phonemic awareness, phonics, handwriting, vocabulary, and emergent reading
• Build strong number sense and foundational math skills through hands-on, conceptual learning
• Design play-based and inquiry-driven experiences that promote problem-solving and collaboration
• Integrate Catholic identity and faith formation into daily instruction and classroom routines
• Use ongoing formative assessment to monitor growth and adjust instruction
• Create a structured, joyful, and predictable classroom environment that supports independence and self-regulation
• Establish clear routines and positive behavior expectations rooted in respect and kindness
• Foster a strong sense of belonging and community among students

• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Collaborate with specialists and the student support team to ensure appropriate interventions or enrichment
  
  Communicate proactively with families to support student growth

• Collaborate in Professional Learning Communities to align curriculum and analyze student data
• Participate fully in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development
• Maintain accurate records using the school's student information system
• Contribute positively to the broader mission and culture of the school

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (Master's degree preferred)
• Valid Washington State teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
• Practicing Catholic preferred, or strong commitment to supporting the Catholic mission of the school
• Demonstrated expertise in early literacy instruction
• Strong classroom management skills rooted in consistency and care
• Ability to build positive, professional relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Salary: The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $85,000. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills, and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
