Student Success Coach, Alpha

Overview

Alpha School seeks a Student Success Coach to support a learning model that emphasizes student-directed learning and accelerated progress. This on-site role is focused on coaching small cohorts of self-motivated learners and translating ambition into measurable outcomes. Teaching credentials are not necessary; proven high performance is essential.

• Engaging students daily through direct mentorship and motivation—coaching rather than lecturing, at peer level
• Leveraging adaptive learning technology and AI tools to facilitate individualized pacing for each learner
• Facilitating small-group sessions centered on leadership development, life competencies, and practical success frameworks
• Guiding students to identify personal strengths and broaden their aspirations via tailored development planning
• Advancing Alpha's educational model through contributions of data analysis, actionable insights, and innovative thinking

• Cultivating enthusiasm for learning in young students while enabling accelerated progress through AI-powered methods

• Ability to work on-site at one of these locations:

  Miami, FL;
  Chicago, IL;
  Santa Barbara, CA.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in any discipline
• Proven track record of exceptional achievement (examples: top-tier academic distinctions, D1/Olympic-level athletics, national-level competitive recognition, etc.)
• 3 years of hands-on experience working with K–8 students in mentoring, coaching, or teaching roles
• Excellent verbal communication and public speaking abilities
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. with no requirement for visa sponsorship

$120,000 annual salary with weekly pay. Full health, dental, and vision coverage begins day one. Relocation assistance provided for candidates who need to move.

Alpha is creating a new paradigm where students master core academics in just two hours a day, freeing up time for hands-on, passion-driven learning that truly prepares them for the real world.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
